Meena Ganesh

Ms. Meena Ganesh leads Portea Medical, India’s leading and home healthcare Company, which she co-founded in July 2013. As a partner at the platform, Growthstory.in, one of India’s largest entrepreneurship platforms, she is also the co-promoter of nearly a dozen, new-age internet/technology-enabled start-ups.

She is currently on the Boards of various companies such as Pidilite Industries Limited, Pfizer Limited, Hitachi Energy India Limited, Axis Bank Limited, CRM Holdings Private Limited, Healthvista India Private Limited, Portea Medical Private Limited and Rocket Logistics Private Limited to name a few.

With close to four decades of experience, her career spans across organisations such as TutorVista, Pearson India Education Services, Tesco Hindustan Service Centre, CustomerAsset, Microsoft India, PWC and NIIT. She has previously also served as Managing Director and CEO of Portea Medical.

She was awarded the ‘Distinguished Alumnus’ Award by the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta in 2011. In 2025, she was awarded the ‘Best Woman Director Award 2023-24’ by the Asian Centre for Corporate Governance and Sustainability and the FICCI FLO Business Woman of the Year Award in 2017 and was recognised in Business Today’s ‘Most Powerful Women in Indian Business’. She was recognised as one of Fortune India’s “50 Most Powerful Women in Business,” an honour she received for seven consecutive years (2015–2021). In 2020, she was also awarded the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Award by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike for services rendered to the medical field.

Ms. Meena Ganesh is a PGDM holder from IIM Calcutta and has graduate degree in Physics from the Madras University. In 2011, she was conferred the ‘Distinguished Alumnus’ Awards by IIM Calcutta.
